Top 5 Current NBA Hipsters
Nima Zarrabi from Slam Magazine asked who our Top 5 NBA Hipsters are. It’s tough to narrow this down to just 5 alt-bros, but here’s the list:
5. Glen Davis - Boston Celtics. Glen’s attire is deck but what makes him even more awesome is that he’s noticeably plump.
4. Ricky Rubio - Minnesota Timberwolves. Now that Rubio has arrived, he has to be on this list. Just look at his hair, his beard, his innate Euro style. Marvelous!
3. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrrok, James Harden - Oklahoma City Thunder. I can’t decide between James’s beard, Russell’s specs and Kevin’s backpack, so I’m going to mindlessly lump them all together as my #3 overall Hipster basketballers. Shout out to Jeff Green, the Broingtons won’t be the same without you!
2. Steve Nash - Phoenix Suns. Steve is the hipster king of the NBA, but I have to temporarly knock him down a notch because our #1 sport now wears a crown.
1. Dirk Nowitzki - Dallas Mavericks. Anytime you win an NBA title and show up to the party dressed like this, you are officially an Alt-Legend. All hail Dirk!
Honorable Mention: Robert Swift (because of his beautiful fire-red hair and those god-awful tattoos) and Mike Miller (because you just know he listens to Girl Talk before games. Oh, and his god-awful tattoos, too)
